Problem solved, I hope

Apparently some of you posted comments, but they did not appear. Boohoo. I think I have resolved that issue. If you do not see a comment you have posted, please email me. I want this to be a 2-way street as much as possible.

Hi, Mom! I like your blog. Much easier for you to use/manage/maintain than a real website.

BTW, Sweetie is very cute.

I tried to comment for the last few days, but the comments were limited by a log-in to Blogspot members. Which I am, but I can't remember my password. Now we're good to go!

T's Blog Tip #1: Remember that a blog "for family and friends" seems like a kinda-private thing, but it isn't. People can stumble on it, other blogs and websites may link to it, and Blogger has this random blog feature that may bring people to you. My Twinkle & Sparkle blog got visitors from all over the place -- a woman in Denmark even kept commenting. So, besides not sharing information you wouldn't want your neighbors to know, you might not want to announce to the world via the Internet things like when you're going to be away from home.

T' Blog Tip #2: Don't post any photos you don't want used by anyone, for anything, or be altered in possibly unaceptable ways, on the Internet.

T's Blog Tip #3: Never say exactly where you live (you can use code or a pseudonym). Also avoid real last names. Never post your phone number or e-mail address.

There! I'm done with my cheap advice now.

I'm glad you have a new way to "talk" to the people with whom you want/need to share your thoughts. I always like to hear from my Mom.

I'll second Tim's advice, and add that your profile includes your email address. Much better would be to create an email address that is just used for this. My (soon to be ex-)cable internet company lets me create a handful of 'secondary' accounts, as I have for the kids. I also use one as a 'junk' address. Another solution is to get a Yahoo or GMail (Google) email for free.

I look at the traffic stats for my business domain, and lemme tell ya, most of the traffic consists of programs grabbing info, content, and pix wherever they can find it. You will likely find a bump in spam pretty soon to your regular email account.
